CDC funding backs African port sector

CDC, formerly known as the Commonwealth Development Corporation, is a new source of funding for the pan-African port sector. In the first instance, the UK’s development finance institution (DFI) is to invest US$320M in the ports of Dakar in Senegal, Sokhna in Egypt and Berbera in Somaliland – all of which are operated by DP World.
