Gulftainer’s Sharjah concessions extended

GT USA Wilimington has been ordered to pay more than US$21M in damages for breaching an agreement to buy the port’s former stevedoring firm

Gulftainer will invest up to $600M at the Port of Wilmington, Delaware, including a new 1.2M TEU container terminal.

This month, Gulftainer signed an agreement through its US subsidiary GT USA Wilmington LLC, with the Diamond State Port Corporation (DSPC)
in Delaware to build a new container terminal at DuPont’s former Edgemoor site on the Delaware River in Wilmington.

Dubai-based DP World is one of the world’s leading operators of container terminals, running 78 marine and inland terminals in 30 countries.

Adnoc Logistics and Services, the shipping and services arm of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), has signed a contract with Borouge, a leading producer of high-value polymers for the plastics industry, to handle its Ruwais container terminal operations.
