Klinge to add ATEX certified reefer

The tank container industry is looking forward to growth in 2018 in both mainstream and niche applications.

Klinge Corporation will deliver a “Container Blast Freezer Unit” (CBU) capable of holding a temperature of -60 degC (-76 degF) to the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries of Indonesia.

The leading reefer machinery OEMs have been hit hard by a fall in demand this year.

Specialised reefer machinery manufacturer Klinge Corporation has completed the development of a prototype reefer unit for the US Army Joint Service Expandable Refrigerated Container System (JSERCS).

Following significant business growth, US-based specialised reefer equipment manufacturer Klinge Corporation has announced plans for a significant increase in its production staff.

Following the delivery and extensive testing of a prototype unit last year (see WorldCargo News October 2012, p17), the Swedish Defence Material Administration (Forsvars Materialverk – FMV) has almost doubled the size of its contract for a new design of reefer container booked with US-based Klinge Corporation.
