Box scanning technology sharpens image
As increasing numbers of seaports and land border crossing points acquire non-intrusive container inspection technology, suppliers are developing models of ever-greater sophistication.
The use of non-intrusive scanning technology to inspect containers passing through seaports or crossing inland borders is fast becoming commonplace. Many hundreds of stationary (fixed-site) and mobile scanners are today in service at container terminals worldwide, where they are helping to combat the smuggling of drugs, contraband goods, immigrants and terrorist firearms/munitions.
