Intermarine and Jumbo SAL Alliance expand South American operations
NewsHouston-based Intermarine and sister company Jumbo-SA Heavy Lift-Alliance (JSA) are opening a new office in Santiago (Chile) as part of their expansion plans in Latin America.
Jumbo confirms second K-3000
Jumbo Shipping, has confirmed an order for a second new K-3000-class vessel, with an option on a third. After a careful consideration and engineering study, Jumbo has decided to upgrade the lifting capacity of the vessels from 1300t to 1500t, enabling them to undertake tandem lifts of 3000t. This is believed to be a record and is a big leap from Jumbo’s J-class ships (2 x 900t Huisman mast cranes).
