Lode’s site in Waldkraiburg will be part of Gebrüder Weiss’ southern German land transport network

Lauterach/Waldkraiburg, Germany: The 100% takeover of Spedition Lode GmbH, based in Waldkraiburg, Bavaria, takes effect from next month. The terms of the S&P agreement have not been disclosed.

“Lode’s service portfolio is the perfect fit for our land transport network in southern Germany,” said Wolfram Senger-Weiss, Chair of the Gebrüder Weiss Management Board.

“Aided by the company’s employees, we will continue to tap the site’s potential to consolidate our general cargo network.”

Located 70 kms east of Munich, the Waldkraiburg site will connect with Gebrüder Weiss’ southern German land transport branches in Aldingen, Esslingen, Lindau, Memmingen, Nuremberg and Passau.

The new affiliate will initially trade under the name GW Lode GmbH, and it will be run by the previous co-owner Rüdiger Lode.
