Jiangsu Rainbow has been awarded a contract to supply 40 RTGs under the “Genma Kalmar” brand to the Damietta Alliance Container Terminal, Egypt.

Portwise is a new brand of TBA Consultancy B.V that will provide consultancy services for both container and bulk material handling facilities separately from the TBA Group.

Mevea training simulators with real-time software are well-known in the ports industry, but there is another side to Mevea machinery development. Indeed, Mevea (Mechatronic and Virtual Engineering Applications) was set up in 2005 as a spin-off from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in Finland, with a team of seven researchers working in the field of mechatronics and real-time simulation.

Simulators allow new operators to train in complete safety and enable them to ‘hit the ground running’ when they use real equipment so they can attain good productivity levels more quickly. They provide an opportunity for instructors to assess whether trainees have the right skill sets for demanding port machinery work.

The TBA Group will provide emulation services for PSA Antwerp’s automation project at its Europa Terminal.

TGN utilised simulation from the TBA Group to validate its innovative approach to containerised bulk cargo handling for its new terminal at Puerto Angamos.
