Rotterdam port mandates Secure Chain for North American cargo

Surikat’s solution will enhance P&O Ferries’ operations at Europoort, integrating automated gates for efficient freight handling and bolstering customer service.
Surikat, a Swedish port technologies company, has announced the successful launch of its automated Fast Gate solution at P&O Ferries in Europoort. This collaboration aims to boost P&O Ferries’ efficiency, data management, and customer service for freight operations at the port, encompassing both road and rail transportation.
P&O Ferries, a longstanding partner of Surikat, has expanded its existing Lynx TOS solution with the addition of Lynx GOS, integrating automated gates to improve the freight arrival and departure processes in the terminal.
The project in Europoort is another Surikat GOS delivery performed in collaboration with Finnish supplier Visy Oy, experts in hardware solutions and AI-based OCR technologies for smart gates.

The new Fast Gate Solution will deliver a smooth, efficient, and secure entry and exit process, reducing waiting times and optimizing traffic flow within the terminal. Additional benefits for P&O include enhanced data quality and visibility for the Terminal Ops team, as well as digitalized customs processes.
