Strong doubts have emerged about the prospects of Canadabased Conforce International Ltd taking over Albania’s most important seaport, the Port of Durres.

Since the details of Conforce’s proposed deal with the Albanian Ministry of Transport were published (see WorldCargo News December 2005, p12), there has been no word from the ministry and local operators are very sceptical about any deal being done.
