Burchardkai: straddle carriers or “TRMGs”

CTB’s straddle carrier fleet currently numbers 103. The oldest machine was built in 1987 but the average age is currently about six, as 28 new machines were acquired in the past year or so for replacement and expansion – 20 Kalmar CSC 340s and eight 1 over 3 diesel-electric machines. These are made up of four ESC 440s from Kalmar and four ESWs from Noell, as CTB wanted to assess both designs.
