Kalmar hushes things up

Sweden’s Port of Trelleborg (THAB) has ordered two Kalmar DRF-75C5XS Contchamp reach stackers fitted with sound absorbers and a new type of silencer. The machines are required for THAB’s busy combi-terminal that is very close to housing. The first of the two machines, that have a second rail capacity (6.3m rail centre) of 36t (toplift), is now in full operation and the second will be delivered in August.
