Snag overload in demand

The Snag Overload System (SOS) developed by Pintsch Bubenzer and Malmedie of Germany is now said to have been installed on 80 STS container cranes worldwide. The SOS is a non-hydraulic system, instead using a safety coupling and fast-acting braking system to protect the crane in an overload situation.
