New batch of ARTGs for Felixstowe
NewsFive more automated RTGs have arrived at Hutchison Ports’ Port of Felixstowe from a series of 17 ordered from Konecranes.
Customised VGM weighing
Like many ports offering a SOLAS Chapter VI VGM weighing service, the Port of Felixstowe uses its yard crane spreaders for regular container shipments. However, outsize and abnormal loads shipped on flatracks also need to have their VGMs established, and an alternative system is required for specialised cargo services, including breakbulk consolidation and heavy lifting.
