PENN connects Continental Europe, three UK east cost ports and three Norwegian ports
OPDR, as part of the CMA CGM Group, has announced the introduction of its new PENN service. Via Rotterdam, the service connects Continental Europe with the United Kingdom and Norway.
The new weekly PENN service links Rotterdam with Immingham, Teesport and Grangemouth in the UK and three ports in Norway, Oslo, Moss and Brevik, with Rotterdam as the hub. Oslo, Moss and Brevik are connected with Rotterdam in just two or three days and from Rotterdam onward connections by intermodal rail are available for the German hinterland and Italy.
Hamburg will be added as an additional hub port at the beginning of November.
Two 700 TEU ice-strengthened vessels are currently deployed in the service and they can accommodate 45ft palletwide high cube reefer containers.
