More remote STS cranes

It has emerged that Hutchison Port Holdings’ (HPH) new terminal at Laem Chabang in Thailand will have both ASCs and remote-controlled STS cranes. In November, Hutchison Ports Thailand broke ground on Phase I of Terminal D at Laem Chabang, which is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2018. The terminal will have six STS cranes, which are planned to be ordered in two batches of three, and the facility will operate with HPH’s own TOS, nGen.
