Marseilles-based CMA CGM, which operates its main eastwest services as a member of the Ocean Alliance, has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with two China-based shipyards for the construction of six 22,000 TEU ultra-large container vessels. The estimated US$1.44B deal also includes an option for an additional three units of a similar size.
