The Hyster Special Engineering Department, based at the Global Centre for Big Truck design in Nijmegen in the Netherlands, has adapted a 30t lift capacity Hyster H30XM-12 FLT to simplify the transport of hot metal coils, while reducing truck wear and tear. The modified lift truck mast has no chain, but instead comprises a direct lift mono mast with lift cylinders and an integrated coil ram attachment

Kalmar, which is part of Finland’s Cargotec group is to supply Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam with two fully electric and eight hybrid straddle carriers. The machines will be used in the company’s ECT Delta terminal and be delivered by the end of this year.
