The development of a European policy for increasing the transfer of freight from road and rail to inland waterways, together with investment in new facilities to promote shipping along the Danube Corridor, will be two of the key issues to be addressed at “The Danube Summit,” a two-day conference hosted by the Port of Constantza, Romania, taking place on 26 and 27 June 2002.
