RailRunner tries again in Europe

Wagon-less bimodal trailer operations could be making a “comeback” in Europe. US-based RailRunner NA, Inc has appointed Gerhard Oswald, managing partner of Gomultimodal GmbH Consulting and a former managing director of Transfracht, to head up RailRunner Europe, based in Hamburg. The company is making a concerted effort to obtain Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI) certification from the European Agency for Rail Transport (ERA).
