CN revives Milton

CN has dusted off its plan for a new intermodal terminal in Milton, a town of 50,000 people, 30 miles west of Toronto, Ontario, and residents are again fighting to stop the project going ahead. CN owns 1,000 acres of land outside the town and in 2001 announced plans for a major intermodal facility, but abandoned the idea after residents objected to increased traffic, noise and the loss of agricultural land.
