Sicom SpA delivers new order for Metrocargo Italia

German e-retailing activity has surged in the past two years, putting severe pressure on the country’s logistics infrastructure and particularly on the demand for swap bodies.

Krone, which is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of trailers and swap bodies, has spent over €11M on expanding capacity at its main factory in Herzlake, Germany.

Italy-based transport and logistics company Autamarocchi SpA is beefing up its fleet with an order from Sicom SpA, in Cherasco (Cuneo), for 100 45ft containertype swap bodies, of which 20 have been delivered at the time of writing, for use in its core north-south Europe network.
