DP World San Antonio celebrated a significant achievement as the Morning Champion docked, marking the first arrival of a Ro-Ro ship carrying Tesla brand electric vehicles in South America. This milestone establishes the terminal as the pioneer in serving such cargo in the region.

Before this, Tesla vehicles had made their way to Chile through private imports, coinciding with the brand’s official launch in the country on 31 January 2024.

The inaugural Tesla store in South America, situated in the Parque Arauco mall in Santiago, further solidifies the company’s presence in the region.

According to the PortalPortuario, the Morning Champion, operated by EUKOR, offloaded both Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. Though the exact quantity remains undisclosed, reports suggest that over 300 cars were unloaded, predominantly consisting of Model 3 units.
