China’s ports see 8.1% YoY volume growth in early 2024

In a surprise move, Pacific Ports Corporation of Hong Kong, a subsidiary of New World Infrastructure, has given up its majority stakes in three container berths at Xiamen in China’s Fujian province to form a 50: 50 joint venture to expand its facilities in anticipation of direct shipping links with Taiwan.
