Life in the Port of Genoa is never dull. On top of the dispute between PSA Sinport and Contship Italia over the new berth (Module VI) at Voltri (WorldCargo News, April 2006, p8), Ignazio Messina e Cia SpA is seeking damages against the port authority (APG), after port president Giovanni Novi blamed the carrier for the stagnation of the port’s container traffic in the past two years.
