Taiwan to end ban on direct links with China

In a move that would end a five-decade ban on direct shipping links with China, Taiwan’s President-elect Ma Ying-Jeou has nominated seven main ports for “direct transport links” with Chinese ports. The ports are Kaohsiung,Keelung, Taipei, Taichung, Pudai, Anping and Hualien.
