CMP advancing on two fronts

When the ports of Copenhagen and Malmö merged in 2001 to form Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP), it was thought that the main expansion focus would be on the Swedish side, where land is less expensive and more readily available than in the Copenhagen suburbs. This would allow the Danish port to concentrate on activities that would cause minimal disruption to the city’s road network, such as cruise passengers.
