ECA queries port finance in the EU

The European Court of Auditors (ECA) has published a critical report on the use of European structural and cohesion funds for transport infrastructure in EU seaports.

The report covers the period 2000-2006 and considers 27 projects in France, Spain, Italy and Greece, which together, accounted for 85% of the total €2.8B structural and cohesion budget that was spent on port infrastructure in that period.
