ECT Delta to get one deeper berth

News

The ECT Delta Terminal in Rotterdam will get one 500m berth with 17.45m water depth, compared to the current 16.65m

The deepening, by the Port of Rotterdam, will be on the Delta Peninsula’s south side, in the Amazonehaven. The new berth will be where the Delta dedicated East (DDE) and Delta Dedicated West (DDW) terminals meet.

The deepening is scheduled for completion in the second half of November this year. Possible deepening of a second 500m adjacent berth will be evaluated after completion of the initial work.

The visual suggests that the dock’s central navigation lane right will already be deepened to 18m over a longer stretch.
