Progress at Lamu port

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) has issued tenders for four laden handling reach stackers and four empty container handling reach stackers.

Kenya’s Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing has released its report on its inquiry into the use of Kenya’s Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

The port of Mombasa in Kenya handled more than 1.4M TEU in 2019, a record performance and an increase of more than 7% on 2018’s throughput of 1.3M TEU.

(LAPSSET) corridor project, is at least six months behind schedule.

San Zhong Corporation (SZC), a Sino-Japanese joint venture set up last year in Russia’s Pacific coast port of PetropavlovskKamchatsky, is reportedly ready to invest up to US$300M to upgrade and redevelop the port.
