Mongla moves closer to Dhaka

The Chairman of the Board of Directors for Maersk is in Bangaldesh lobbying for a concession to build a new container terminal at the Port of Chattogram.

New heavy cargo berth at Bangladesh’s main seaport will be designed for heavy equipment and project cargo.

Maersk has completed “the first India-Bangladesh cross-border logistics of containerised cargo using the inland waterways of the Indo-Bangladesh Protocol Route for Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages.”

Patenga Container Terminal is set to open on 21 July, but who will operate the new terminal has not yet been decided.
