P&O Maritime Logistics books new Red Sea contract

Unifeeder’s vessels will be calling Oranjestad (Barcadera) and Willemstad weekly, Maracaibo bi-weekly, and Guanta and Guaranao every 4 weeks.

The Aarhus-headquartered Unifeeder Group, which is owned by DP World Marine Services, has confirmed orders for two 1,250 TEU capacity dual-fuel methanol capable ships. They will be delivered in 2026.

Unifeeder, which is owned by the port, logistics and shipping group DP World, has extended its operations in the Caribbean basin with the start of a new service between Panama and Colombia.

In a further move to drive down its emissions and meet its objective of having net zero emissions by 2050, DP World has joined the First Movers Coalition (FMC) and set a target that by 2030 at least 5% of fuel used by vessels in its short sea services will be zero emissions.

Unifeeder Group has signed a long-term time-charter agreement for two new methanol-capable container feeder vessels and has an option for additional two similar vessels
