Helsingborg to “go live” with Navis N4 next month

News

Testing and implementation of the new TOS has been going on for some time at the Swedish port

A project group within the port has been working intensively to ensure that the transition from the current system goes as smoothly as possible. The “Go Live” date has been set as 2 October. There has been intense training and preparation in The port before the system switch with new routines, new operational services, and new data flow to ensure all is in order.

On Friday, 29 September the port will close both container operations and the current system, PortIT, 15.00h CET and will reopen on Monday morning, 2 October, with Navis N4 in full operation. The in-gate will close at 14.30h on 29 September.

“Switching between two terminal operating systems is a very complex process, we decided it would be best to cease operations completely,” states the port. “This allows us to ensure that functions for all processes in the new system are working, as well as being able to redirect large information flows. Unfortunately, there is no access to our Customer Portals during the shutdown.”

Access to the port’s services becomes faster and more efficient with Navis N4 and a new Track & Trace function will be available via the port’s web. A personal login for all users will be required to access the port’s services, such as Customer Login, VGM or Pre-notification.
