Ana Laura López Bautista, general coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine, a branch of Mexico’s Naval Secretariat (Semar), recently spoke to the local edition of Forbes magazine. In it, she is quoted as saying: “In 2022, more than eight million containers were handled, a record figure in the entire history of the national port system. Everything indicates that this year we are going to beat our own record.”
