The trade between the US Atlantic seaboard and the east coast of South America is experiencing a shake up. Several existing operators have decided to adjust their partnership arrangements, partly caused by the planned takeover of CSAV by Hapag-Lloyd, but also due to the ocean carriers’ desire to deploy bigger ships with more powerful economies of scale.
