Shipowners and agencies can now apply for Panamanian Certificates of Competency for seafarers online.
The Republic of Panama, which is the top flag state globally for vessel registration by tonnage, has partnered with Marine Online in Singapore to offer online application filling for crew Certificates of Competency (CoC).
All personnel working on board of a vessel registered with the Panamanian Flag are required to have either a Panama CoC or a Certificate of Endorsement for a CoC issued by another Flag-State, and a Panamanian Seaman Discharge Book. Applications for these are typically filed at Panama Consular offices around the globe, which requires making appointments and visiting an office.
Applications for seafarers of all ranks with the supporting documents can now be filed online at https://www.marineonline.com. Upon submission, applicants may track their application history for up to seven years.
