Gothenburg pushes for cold ironing
Most of the publicity surrounding alternative marine power (AMP) systems has come from the US west coast (where it is generally known as “cold ironing”), particularly Southern California. However, the Port of Göteborg, Sweden’s biggest port, has issued a statement about its own support for AMP, based on the experience gained over the past few years with the Stora Enso system traffic ships.
