Rail automation live in Australia
NewsQube commenced “normal automated operations” at the import/export terminal (IMEX) of the new Moorebank rail facility near Sydney in May and June this year.
Rail Cargo Group, part of Austrian state railways company öBB, has started a regular block train service between the port of Rijeka and Ludwigshafen, via Munich
This is said to be the first such railway service between the Republic of Croatia and Germany and the first departure from ICTSI-operated Rijeka Adriatic Gateway to KTL Ludwigshafen was on 21st February. There are three departures per week in each direction. The block train is composed of 14 90ft cars four 80ft cars.
RCA is in complete control of the operation through its own operation in Austria and via its affiliates Rail Cargo Carrier Germany (the former EBM Cargo, acquired by RCA in 2015), Rail Cargo Carrier Croatia and Rail Cargo Carrier Slovenia.
