BASF orders Konecranes barge handler
German chemical shipper BASF has ordered a third Konecranes reach stacker for handling container barges at its operation in Antwerp, where the BASF Antwerp NV chemical site has its own barge terminal. The terminal already operates two SMV 4545 TB3 BH machines, Konecranes biggest series reach stackers with a 9m wheelbase and a lifting capacity of 45t, 37t and 30t in the first, second and third row of a barge.
