TEC Containers specialises in the design and the production of equipment for container handling and lashing, general cargo, wind energy and personnel security equipment in ports and terminals. Founded in 1976, the company has supplied products to more than 70 different ports in more than 40 countries all over the world.

Its product range encompasses spreader-mounted lashing cages, bespoke overheight frames plus a complete portfolio of 20ft and 40ft fixed frames and associated attachments to convert container lifters equipment into other forms of lifting equipment.

Cooper Handling’s Group Executive Director David Cooper said: “We are thrilled to partner the TEC Container team, which adds to our multi-channel distribution policy and complements our broad port handling scope of supply. Having visited TEC’s facility in Madrid and viewed for ourselves the products, we can immediately see why TEC Containers have been so successful globally in this niche sector.”

Rafael Moragon, General Manager of TEC Containers, said: “For some reason our market penetration in the UK market has not been the same as other European countries and Cooper Handling seems ideally positioned to challenge the status quo. We really look forward to this new working relationship and we will provide our full support”

The TEC Container portfolio will appeal to all major port operations, says Cooper SH, especially in STS crane and MHC operations for the spreader and cage product as well as out-of-gauge flat rack handling where the overheight range will be relevant.
