Callao for DPW…

As briefly reported in last month’s WorldCargo News (p11), a consortium of DP World and Uniport of Bilbao, Spain has been granted a 30 year concession to develop and operate a new container terminal in the southern zone of the Port of Callao, Peru. The concession has been awarded by Proinversion, the state agency that promotes private investment. DP World will own 70% of the new company through P&O, with the balance held by Uniport via a local subsidiary, Unimar.
