The amount of unitsed cargo traffic totalled 764,000t in November, which indicates a 5% decrease in comparison to November 2008

The traffic from January to November added up to 7.9 Mt, 22% down year on year.

Finnlines will open three new ro-ro lines in January 2010 for the routes from Helsinki to Gothenburg, from Kotka to Gothenburg and from Gothenburg to Bilbao. These new routes increase the ro-ro network connections operated by Finnlines by one fifth. Two large, modern ro-ro vessels, Finnmill and Finnpulp, will operate on the new routes.

A mobile harbour crane owned by the port, a Liebherr LHM 400 dating from 1999, has been sold. A sales contract for the crane has been signed with Åkerbergs Maskiner A/S in Denmark.

The crane has been in operation for approximately 7000 hours. The 10-year inspection was conducted in October 2009 and the crane is in excellent condition.
