APMT under pressure in Algeciras

Difficult negotiations are under way between APM Terminals and labour unions in the Port of Algeciras over the operator’s plan to cut costs. Although information is difficult to come by, it seems that APMT is seeking a reduction in the number of men working each shift to make operations more competitive, using smaller gangs.
