New terminal in Mombasa

The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) officially opened Mombasa’s second container terminal in early September. It provides sub-Saharan Africa’s secondlargest box port with much-needed additional handling capacity, and should boost Mombasa’s overall competitiveness in the all-important landlocked African trade – particularly to/from Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
