Gaussin in financial trouble
NewsAs its commercial position unravels Gaussin has been placed in a “safeguard procedure” by the Vesoul Commercial Court.
Héricourt, France-headquartered Gaussin has delivered two of its APM 75T HE electric port tractors and a recharging station to the port of Freetown in Sierra Leone.
The tractors were ordered by Bolloré Africa Logistics (BAL) in 2021. They are fitted with LMP (lithium-ion phosphate) batteries developed by a Bolloré Group sister company Blue Solutions.
BAL was sold to MSC in 2022 and the company is now trading as Africa Global Logistics (AGL). These new deliveries are an integral part of the company’s ‘Green Terminal’ labelling process to reduce carbon emissions. Last year, AGL took delivery of 14 similar machines and two charging stations for its operations at the Côte d’Ivoire Terminal in Abidjan.
