Lloyd’s Register (LR) has published a new guide on maintenance of hatch covers.

As well as dealing with maintenance and repair, there are sections on monitoring and inspection, heavy weather precautions, safety when working with hatch covers, leakage problems and the pros and cons of various leak detection tests. There is an appendix on correct procedures for opening and closing hatch covers. Specimen hatch cover inspection check sheets are also included.
