MSC to increase size gap, CMA CGM to surpass Maersk

The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) is eager to resume its liner links, and, since the ending of sanctions, has confirmed deals with CMA CGM, Germany’s PWL (Peter Lampke). It has also reiterated its own plans to invest in modern tonnage, including super post-Panamax ships of 10,000 TEU and above. Currently, IRISL’s largest vessels are in the 5,000 to 6,500 TEU range.
