Return of RTW route

This month saw Maersk announce changes to its TP12 service that effectively reverse the sailing direction and turn it into a round-the-world (RTW) service. From September, the TP12 will travel from northern and eastern china to the US east coast through the Panama Canal, then call at Newark, Norfolk and Baltimore before returning to Asia through the Suez – effectively an RTW service. Maersk will deploy 11 vessels of 8,500 TEU in the service.
