SOL acquires three more ro-ros

ECO CATANIA and ECO MALTA will operate Grimaldi’s regular dedicated ro-ro freight service between Italy and Greece.

Financed by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, the Swedish Transport Administration, the Västerbotten Region and the local Nordmaling Municipality, the SEK57M (US$6.6M) facility caters mainly for shipments made by SCA Forest.

The web portal being developed by Wabtec and the Port of Los Angeles, and its business model to commercialise data exchange, has found its first customer in Europe.
