More feeders for MPC Container Ships

Norway-based MPC Container Ships AS, which over the past six months has substantially expanded its fleet of feeder-class vessels, has added another three units since September.

Total expenditure on the purchases was US$4.6M, and it increases MPC’s fleet to 26 units, with a combined operating capacity of approximately 53,850 TEU.

The group’s dynamic and aggressive management team, led by MD Constantin Baack, has a plan to raise this number of ships to 50 units within a year. Longer-term a listing in the US is also being considered.

In H1 2017, MPC reported a loss of US$436 on total revenue of US$1.2M
