Swedish software developer Hogia Systems has been awarded a contract to install terminal operating software at eight intermodal terminals owned by Swedish rail asset company Jernhusen, The terminals will then be leased to private operators.

Jernhusen was formed in 2001 as a rail property holding company during the break up of national railway Statens Järnvägar. In order to make intermodal transport more competitive, Jerhusen is persuing a policy of leasing intermodal terminals to different private operators on short-term leases.
